About the project
A Global Voice for Integrative Healthcare.
The TCIH Coalition is a global movement dedicated to improving health and well-being through Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare. Headquartered in Geneva, it grew from a grassroots initiative in 2022 into an international NGO with more than 330 member organisations.
Its website carries that voice worldwide: the People's Declaration and its signatories, the coalition's focus areas and activities, news and publications, in seven languages. Moving it from TYPO3 to WordPress meant giving the team a more flexible platform without changing what members, signatories and visitors already knew.

The challenge
A New Platform Without Losing the Existing Experience.
The migration needed to go beyond simply transferring content from one CMS to another. The existing website had established structures, content, URLs and a visual identity that needed to remain familiar to users.
Preserve the Existing Structure
Maintain the information architecture, navigation and content relationships.
Maintain the Look and Feel
Recreate the existing design and user experience within WordPress.
Protect Existing Content and Data
Migrate content accurately without data loss.
Preserve URLs and SEO Value
Ensure existing links and search visibility were protected wherever possible.
Minimise Downtime
Deploy the new WordPress platform with minimal disruption to users.
Modernise the Technology
Move to a more flexible and manageable CMS without compromising existing functionality.
Our approach
Plan Carefully. Migrate Systematically. Deploy With Minimal Disruption.
ThoughtLabs handled the migration as a structured engineering project rather than a simple CMS content transfer.
