Building Tassy, Brussels' Platformfor Performing Arts Classes.
Tassy connects students with dance, theatre, circus and music classes across Brussels, and gives teachers and studios a place to present what they offer. ThoughtLabs built the website, the headless CMS behind it and the admin panel the team runs it from.

- Hygraph headless CMS

Contemporary dance for beginners
About the project
A Front Door to Brussels' Performing Arts Scene.
Tassy is a Brussels platform that helps people discover and book performing arts classes and workshops, from dance and theatre to circus and music. Students browse a curated list of classes across the city; teachers and studios present their offerings, reach new audiences and manage their bookings.
ThoughtLabs built the whole platform: a fast static website for visitors, a headless CMS that holds the classes and content, and an admin panel where the Tassy team keeps track of registered users. We continue to maintain it.

The challenge
One Platform for Two Very Different Audiences.
Tassy had to work for students looking for their next class and for the teachers and studios offering them, while staying simple for a small team to run.
Serve Students and Teachers
Give students an easy way to find classes, and teachers a place to register and present their offerings.
Stay Fast and Light
Load quickly on any phone, with a lightweight front end that is simple to host.
Keep Content Editable
Let the team update classes and content without touching code.
Hold Platform Data in One Place
Store classes, providers and registered users in one structured source.
See Who Is Signing Up
Give the Tassy team a clear view of registered users as the platform grows.
Feel Friendly and Welcoming
Reflect a community brand that makes the performing arts feel open to everyone.
Our approach
A Light Front End, a Headless Back End and a Panel to Run It.
ThoughtLabs split the platform into three parts that each do one job well: the public site, the content platform and the admin panel.

Plan
We mapped the platform around its two audiences: students looking for a class and the teachers and studios offering one, from the home page to class discovery, provider registration and the legal pages.
The live site
Tassy, Live in Brussels.
Students find their next class and teachers register to offer theirs, on a platform the Tassy team runs from its own admin panel.

Hover over the page to scroll through it.
