Monitoring Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain IT monitoring solutions, including Microsoft SCOM, Dynatrace, and HPE OneView.

• Monitor core ICT infrastructure, including servers, applications, services, and network devices.

• Monitor containerized environments and Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure using Dynatrace.

• Deploy, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot monitoring solutions.

• Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports.

• Perform monitoring infrastructure optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

• Analyse monitoring alerts, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions.

• Provide 2nd-level technical support and coordinate with 3rd-level support teams.

• Handle incidents and service requests escalated by the 1st-level support team.

• Implement infrastructure changes in accordance with ITIL-based change management procedures.

• Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and infrastructure diagrams.

• Evaluate and implement monitoring best practices and security standards.

• Participate in technical coordination meetings and support ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum Level 6 educational qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent).

• Minimum B2 level English proficiency.

• At least 8 years of relevant IT professional experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or relevant technical profile.

• Ability to obtain CONFIDENTIEL UE / EU CONFIDENTIAL Personal Security Clearance. The security screening process must be initiated within the first 45 days of the assignment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience administering complex monitoring systems in heterogeneous, containerized, and cloud environments.

• Strong expertise in monitoring infrastructure optimization, tuning, and capacity planning.

• Experience with Microsoft SCOM monitoring.

• Experience with Dynatrace monitoring.

• Scripting experience on Windows Servers using PowerShell.

• Administration experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Server environments.

• Experience managing virtualized infrastructure.

• Knowledge of ITIL-based processes, including incident, change, configuration, and release management.

• Experience working with ticketing systems and coordinating with multiple IT support teams.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.

• Proactive approach, good communication skills, and ability to adapt to changing technologies.
